Laurie and Colin would like to welcome you to Papillons and La Petite Maison, & new for 2006 Les Lavandes our beautifully restored Charentaise cottages/gite which are set in the peaceful village of Saint Sorlin de Conac with its rolling countryside, vineyards and a fabulous chateau in the distance.
All accommodation is renovated to the highest standards!
| The pretty scenery can be taken in whilst sitting with a glass of
local red wine on the private patios where no one will disturb you, and you can
enjoy the many wonderful birds or take a slow meandering walk around the
village. We are just 10 minutes away from Mirambeau where there are
supermarkets, boulangeries and other shops. We are not far from the estuary. |

There are many places to visit, Walks, Cycling and Horse-riding www.haras-st-thomas.com and not forgetting those who love to play Golf www.golfderoyan.com www.golfducognac.free.fr and plenty of opportunities to Fish in the village river. There are also excellent swimming pools very local. Also there are 2 producers of Pineau and cognac in the village, so we are a little bit spoilt. Both are excellent and just a short walk away. www.chateau-saint-sorlin.com Both M. et Mdm Castelnau speak very good English although their website is in French.
The Beaches of Meschers are just 25 - 30 minutes away. Keep driving along the coast and there are plenty more.
Les Lavandes are 2 new gites, the first one will be ready for the Summer season of 2006. Both will have picturesque views!
